The MMoU and why it was developed by IOSCO

The MMoU is IOSCO’s multilateral instrument for cross-border cooperation in enforcement matters and is recognised as the global benchmark for cooperation in the securities market. Since its establishment in 2002, the MMoU has provided securities regulators with a platform for obtaining vital information and mutual assistance necessary for combating cross-border fraud and securing compliance with their securities laws.
