Key Responsibilities
1. Content Creation and Dissemination
- Draft and distribute press releases to promote organizational activities, IOSCO public reports and achievements.
- Oversee and coordinate the preparation and publication of IOSCO’s Annual report.
- Oversee the creation and management of social media posts to engage stakeholders and expand IOSCO's reach.
- Coordinate the production of the IOSCO periodic bulletin for members, ensuring timely and high-quality content delivery.
2. Media Relations and Publicity
- Establish and maintain relationships with news outlets to enhance understanding and media coverage of IOSCO’s work.
- Arrange interviews between media and IOSCO representatives, as well as press conferences including preparing key personnel with talking points or background briefings.
- Actively promote press releases and key organizational messages to secure media coverage and increase visibility.
3. Projects and Campaigns
- Lead communication efforts for key initiatives such as the annual World Investor Week, and IOSCO’s Retail Roadmap, ensuring seamless coordination and impactful outreach.
- Support dissemination efforts for activities stemming from IOSCO’s activities
4. Team and Process Management
- Supervise up to one staff member to deliver on communication objectives effectively.
- Collaborate with IT and other departments to develop and refine process flows for content dissemination and communication activities.
5. Management of Brand & Digital assets
- Management of IOSCO’s new brand identity to ensure all external facing communications are brand compliant.
- Overall supervision of digital content (including video assets) created in IOSCO’s name.
- Occasional liaison with brand agencies, as required (e.g. for the production of IOSCO’s Annual Report)
- Oversight of IOSCO’s website; maintaining a forward planner for carousel features and working closely with IT to develop landing pages as needed.
- Liaison with key stakeholders to ensure accuracy of content.
- Delivery of performance analytics as needed.
6. Strategic Communication
- Develop and oversee a communications strategy for IOSCO, to enhance and increase awareness of IOSCO’s activities by key stakeholders, worldwide
- Ensure all communication efforts are aligned with IOSCO’s mission and strategic priorities.
- Develop and execute crisis communication strategies to address challenges or controversies effectively to advise top management and mitigate reputational risks.

Qualifications

We are searching for an experienced event planner to assist in the production from concept through completion, helping IOSCO to successfully organize our core meetings and events. This includes the prestigious IOSCO Annual General Meeting (AGM), various pivotal committee meetings, internal organizational events, and more. The ideal candidate is proactive, reliable, detail-oriented, and organized. This role demands an experienced professional coordinating all aspects of event, meeting, and conference planning, including venue scouting, equipment logistics, room setup, administrative tasks and best practices, with background in international companies. This person must also have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team and a tech-savvy mindset. IOSCO´s best candidate will be a professional with a proactive work attitude, capable of deeply engaging in projects to ensure their success.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with internal staff, members, and vendors to establish the requirements for an event, and liaise with the Senior and Event Planner throughout the planning process.
- Ensure proper documentation is gathered of the approved purchases for events, invoice and receipts filling, as well as proper inventory of table signs and coordinate seating plans for in-person meetings.
- Close follow-up of participants in liaison with internal staff to ensure a smooth registration process for IOSCO meetings.
- Manage and facilitate logistics for all events, including contract monitoring, guest lists, venue preparation, presentation materials, security, catering, entertainment, transportation, equipment, decor, and marketing materials.

Key Responsibilities
Calendar and Meeting Management
- Maintain and regularly update the shared Outlook calendar with details of staff meetings, travel schedules, and significant commitments for the DSG.

Key Responsibilities
The powers and responsibilities of the current Secretary-General are set out in IOSCO’s By-Laws (more particularly articles 51 to 54 of part 7) and a 2011 Executive Committee Protocol, which will be made available to prospective applicants. Amongst others, the responsibilities of the Secretary General are to:
- Manage the General Secretariat including human resources, compliance and legal, operations, finances, relations, etc. This includes ensuring compliance with Spanish laws, internal policies, and IOSCO By Laws, Resolutions and Protocols;
- Coordinate and develop the strategy and work programme under the leadership of the Board Chairman, the Management Team, and the Board in order to lead the efforts of the IOSCO Secretariat in the best interests of IOSCO Members. This will include preparing agendas, minutes and logistical arrangements for Board Chair, the Board and other relevant meetings;
- Deliver technical support to the Board Chair, the Board, Taskforces, Committees and Working Groups. Provide assistance to members where and when it is sought;

Skills
- IOSCO Annual Meeting (AM) & host selection process: Lead organization and execution of the AM, including the oversight of the host selection process, in consultation and with the support of the MC. Delegate pre- and post-event duties, aligning with the MC’s workload for a shared responsibility model during the AM.
- Committee meetings and other events at IOSCO premises: Support the organization of committee meetings, including seminars, IOSCO Board Meetings, and Stakeholder Meetings, with responsibilities evenly divided between the SMEP and the MC, where roles of leading and supporting alternate based on the event.

- Liaison with embassies, consulates, and government agencies: Facilitate interactions with embassies and consulates for meeting attendees or speakers, assisting with visa processes and ensuring security enhancements at IOSCO HQ for specific meetings.
Qualifications
- Educational and professional background: Bachelor’s degree in event management, Communication and PR, business administration, or related field. At least 5 years of event planning and management experience, preferably within an international setting.
- Core skills and abilities: Expertise in planning, scheduling, and executing a diverse array of events, both on-site and virtually. Exceptional organizational, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities. High computer literacy and fluency in English and Spanish.

Key Responsibilities
IOSCO is looking to recruit a suitably qualified individual to assist IOSCO’s work with regard to capacity building activities.
Initially under the overall direction of the Standards Implementation Coordinator, the successful candidate will work with the Capacity Building Team and will assist and advise on the work carried out by the IOSCO Secretariat to respond to capacity building priority needs, as identified by IOSCO members.
To support the work of the team, we are looking for a talented individual to take on the role of a Senior Officer, Capacity Building. The current intention is that individual would be reporting to the Capacity Building Team Lead. The successful candidate would be expected to:
- Assess the training needs of IOSCO members;
- Develop and implement capacity building strategies and programs;
- Design and deliver tailored training workshops and materials;
- Develop metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness and impact of capacity-building programs;
- Adjust training strategies based on evaluation results and feedback;
- Engage with the World Bank, other development banks, and international organizations to ensure effective partnerships for capacity building programs;
- Engage with IOSCO members to understand priorities and needs for capacity building as well as to enlist their assistance in the delivery of the training programs;
- Perform any other duties and tasks assigned by the Standards Implementation Coordinator, the Deputy Secretary General or the Secretary General.
Skills
This position requires a results-oriented and experienced individual with the ability to understand the strategy as well as help to shape it, needs and priorities of IOSCO and its members, including the following skills and capabilities:
- Proven experience in designing and implementing capacity-building programs or initiatives or similar professional training programs;
- Demonstrated experience in assessing training needs and developing tailored solutions;
- Proficiency in using various training and capacity-building tools, methodologies, and the use of technologies for education and development;

- At least 10 years of relevant experience in capacity building, training, and/or education related activities.

- Experience in international negotiations or diplomatic work;
- Good understanding of securities regulation and familiarity with IOSCO’s structure, membership and its corporate agenda and strategic direction;
- Direct experience with at least one Learning Management System;
